I have experience with both the DJI Mavic 3 Classic and the DJI Mavic 2 Pro. For their newsletter, DJI recently sent out this specs comparison email. Here is a breakdown of the differences between these two flagship drones.
Mavic 3 Classic 895g vs Mavic 2 Pro 907g
The Mavic 3 Classic is slightly a lower payload weight. We're talking 1.33185% difference. Nothing to see here. lol

While both Hasselblad based camera, the Mavic 3 Classic is equipped with a signifiable more impressive 4/3 CMOS sensor.
5.1K/50fps DCI 4K/120fps vs 4K/30fps
If most of us use 1080p and 4K TVs and monitors, why should we care about 5.1K video? You can actually crop in and get a closer shot without sacrificing quality because you have more data to work with.

It's been 1,541 days since DJI released its Mavic 2 Pro & Mavic 2 Zoom drones. Wireless transmission has undergone a significant upgrade, and it's not just a matter of distance. As a result, there is less interference and increased reliability.
Omnidirectional Obstacle Sensing
To avoid crashing these expensive drones, obstacle sensing is crucial. The Mavic 3 Classic with RC retails for $1,599 while the Mavic 2 Pro with RC retailed for $1,499 when it was first introduced.
Note: In addition, the DJI Mavic 3 Classic is available without a controller for $1,469.00, however it does not work with the controller that comes with the DJI Mavic 2 Zoom or Mavic 2 Pro.
There are so many factors to consider when purchasing a drone. But if you're looking for a drone that is better in terms of design, safety, and intelligent flight modes, then the Mavic 3 Classic is the better choice.
