Here's another DJI tease. Next week, the world's largest consumer drone maker will launch a new product, and one of the first glimpses has just been posted to its social media accounts for the DJI Mavic 3 Classic.

We have even received emails from DJI titled "Get Ready for a Classic", for it's DJI "Explore Vivid" event so obviously the DJI Mavic 3 is getting a new edition, combined with the unique shape of the the Mavic 3 wide angle, Hasselblad lens pictured in the firm's promo graphic, first seen on the Mavic 3 drone series in November of 2021.

The DJI "Explore Vivid" event will be held on Wednesday, November 2, beginning at 9 a.m. Eastern Time.

It was announced earlier this month that DJI received approval from the US Federal Communications Commission (FCC) to make Class II permissive changes to its Mavic 3 drone. Companies request this change if they plan to launch a new product that will have altered performance characteristics from the original product.

DJI mentions a Mavic 3 Classic drone in the FCC filings, which will be similar to the original Mavic 3 drone in terms of technology and parts. There will be only one camera instead of two on this new Mavic 3 Classic, so the tele lens will be lost. The company mentions that the lens version will change. It appears, however, that the camera specs will remain the same as they have been in the past.

As a result, we expect the Mavic 3 Classic will shoot 20MP stills in 12-bit RAW format, as well as 5.1K and 4K videos at 50fps and 120fps, respectively. Furthermore, aerial photographers will be able to get sharper and clearer images in a variety of lighting scenarios thanks to the adjustable aperture of f/2.8 - f/11. That is where the naming of event comes from, “Explore Vivid”?
